How to preserve Overleaf comments in a PDF review copy

Overleaf comments belong to the collaborative review experience; they do not automatically become ordinary PDF content.

Comments can be tied to editor lines and discussed or resolved by collaborators. They are distinct from the document body.

Use margin notes for clear mappings and an appendix when a comment cannot be placed reliably.

Generate a separate annotated copy instead of overwriting the only manuscript source.

Check placement, names and sensitive feedback before sending the PDF.
